Marrakech: 2-Day Atlas Mountains Trek and Village Stay

Day 1: Marrakech to the High Atlas via Ourika Valley Depart from Marrakech early in the morning and head to a bustling rural market, like Aghbalou on Thursdays or Asni on Saturdays. See local villagers gather to trade goods, livestock, and fresh produce. Next, head further into the Ourika Valley for a trek. Hike alongside the river, past terraced fields, and up toward the refreshing waterfalls, like Setti Fatma, surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Atlas Mountains. After the trek, leave the valley behind and drive through the winding mountain passes toward the trekking hub of Imlil. Check into a traditional Berber guesthouse (Gîte) or a mountain lodge in Imlil, where you can enjoy a warm dinner next to a fireplace and take in the quiet night sky. Day 2: Mountain Hospitality & Return Wake up early to the crisp, fresh mountain air and enjoy a hearty, traditional breakfast featuring local olive oil, fresh bread, amlou, and mint tea on a terrace with sweeping views of Mount Toubkal. Embark on a light morning walk through the surrounding walnut groves and traditional stone villages. For lunch, be welcomed into a local family's home.
