5-Day Mount Toubkal Trek & Merzouga Sahara Desert Tour

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Marrakech to Imlil, the gateway to Mount Toubkal and the High Atlas Mountains. Meet your mountain guide and muleteer in Imlil before starting your trek. Follow mountain trails through traditional Berber villages and the beautiful Mizane Valley, surrounded by impressive peaks and panoramic landscapes. Continue gradually uphill toward the Toubkal Refuge, where you will spend the night. Enjoy a traditional dinner and prepare for the following day’s summit climb. Day 2: Toubkal Summit – Imlil Wake early and begin the challenging ascent to the summit of Mount Toubkal, standing at 4,167 metres and known as the highest mountain in North Africa. The climb takes you across rocky mountain terrain with spectacular views of the surrounding High Atlas peaks. Reach the summit and take time to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic scenery and capture unforgettable photos. After enjoying the summit, descend back toward the refuge for a short break before continuing down to Imlil. Arrive in Imlil and relax after your mountain adventure. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay in a traditional Berber guesthouse. Day 3: Imlil – Dades Valley – Todra Gorge After breakfast, leave the mountains behind and begin your scenic journey toward southern Morocco. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying spectacular views of the mountain landscapes and traditional villages. Continue toward Ouarzazate and travel along the famous Road of 1,000 Kasbahs. Pass through the Valley of Roses and the beautiful Dades Valley before reaching the impressive Todra Gorge. Take time to explore the dramatic canyon and admire its towering rock walls before continuing to your accommodation in the Dades/Todra area. Enjoy dinner and spend the night surrounded by the spectacular landscapes of southern Day 4: Todra Gorge – Merzouga – Sahara Desert Camp After breakfast, continue your journey toward the Sahara Desert. Travel through changing landscapes, passing traditional villages, palm-filled oases and desert scenery until you reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. In the afternoon, begin your unforgettable camel ride across the Sahara dunes. Ride through the golden landscape while watching the desert change colour as the sun begins to set. Arrive at your desert camp and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by Berber music and entertainment around the campfire. Spend the night in a comfortable Sahara desert camp under the spectacular star- Day 5: Merzouga – Sahara Sunrise – Marrakech Wake early to experience the breathtaking Sahara sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return by camel or transfer back to Merzouga. Enjoy views of valleys, villages and mountain scenery along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where your unforgettable 5-day Mount Toubkal and Sahara Desert adventure comes to an end.
