Embark on a 6-day adventure from Casablanca to Marrakech, blending wild camping, hidden valleys, ancient rock carvings, authentic villages, desert expeditions, and Atlas Mountain crossings. Day 1: Casablanca to Imilchil, Isli & Tislit Lakes Depart from Casablanca and travel through the Middle Atlas toward Imilchil, the land of Amazigh traditions and high-mountain serenity. Arrive at the legendary Isli & Tislit Lakes, famous for the romantic Berber tale of two lovers whose tears created the twin lakes—Morocco’s own “Amazigh Romeo & Juliet.” Settle into your outdoor lakeside camp. Enjoy a traditional open-air dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by the silence of nature at 2,200m. Day 2: Lakes to Akhiam Caves to Dades Gorge After breakfast by the lake, follow an authentic off-the-beaten-path route toward the High Atlas. Stop at Akhiam Caves, ancient mountain shelters used by nomads and families for centuries—an exclusive cultural stop. Continue to Dades Gorge, passing through apple farms of Msemrir. In the afternoon, enjoy a 1.5-hour hike and canyoning in the famous Monkey Fingers Valley, a hidden natural masterpiece of rock formations. Arrive at your charming kasbah/riad for dinner and a peaceful night. Day 3: Dades Gorge to Saghrou Mountains to Nkob Oasis Drive into the volcanic landscapes of Jbel Saghrou, one of Morocco’s most dramatic mountain ranges connecting the High Atlas to the Sahara. Spend 2 hours hiking among basalt peaks and gold-colored valleys, followed by a picnic lunch in nature. Continue to Nkob, a peaceful palm oasis with over 45 ancient kasbahs. Enjoy dinner and overnight in a traditional guesthouse. Day 4: Nkob to Ait Ouazzik Rock Carvings to Deraa Valley to Erg Chegaga Desert Visit the prehistoric Ait Ouazzik rock carvings, one of Morocco’s most important archaeological sites with depictions of hunters, animals, and ancient symbols. Drive through the legendary Deraa Valley, Morocco’s longest palm valley and former caravan route to Mali. Enter the wild Sahara and arrive at Erg Chegaga, the largest dunes in Morocco. Enjoy a camel ride, sunset over endless sand, dinner in a luxury or nomad camp, and a magical night under millions of stars. Day 5: Chegaga to Tamegroute Pottery Village to Zagora to Agdez Cross the desert off-road toward Tamegroute, famous for its green pottery, one of Morocco’s oldest artisan traditions. Enjoy a guided visit to the workshops, the ancient Koranic library, and the underground kasbah. Lunch in Zagora, then continue to Agdez, at the gateway of the Deraa oasis, for overnight in a charming kasbah lodge. Day 6: Agdez to Ouarzazate to Ait Benhaddou to Marrakech Travel through Anti-Atlas passes to Ouarzazate, the film capital of Morocco. Visit the iconic Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and ancient fortress village on the old Caravan Route. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, descending into vibrant Marrakech.
