From Marrakech: 4Days-Waterfalls, Lakes & Sahara Desert Tour

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Imilchil Lakes (High Atlas) Depart from Marrakech and head to the Ouzoud Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in North Africa. Enjoy lunch by the cascades before continuing deep into the remote High Atlas Mountains toward Imilchil. Arrive at the legendary lakes: Lake Tislit (the Bride) and Lake Isli (the Groom). Hear the Amazigh love story behind these lakes and explore untouched alpine landscapes rich in flora, birds, and pure mountain air. Choose to camp by the lake (weather permitting) or stay in a guesthouse. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay. Day 2: Imilchil – Agoudal – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert Drive off the beaten path, crossing isolated Berber villages like Agoudal, one of the highest inhabited villages. Pass through Tamtetoucht, gateway to nomadic territories, and arrive at the dramatic Todra Gorge, where you can take a short walk along the river. Continue toward the Sahara and reach the Merzouga Desert. Trek across golden dunes on a camel and watch the sunset over the Sahara. Enjoy dinner, a campfire, nomadic music, and a starry sky. Spend the night in a desert camp. Day 3: Merzouga – Erfoud Fossils – Dades Gorge Wake up for sunrise in the dunes before departing. Visit Erfoud, famous for fossils and ancient marine life, revealing Morocco’s prehistoric past. Travel through desert plateaus and oasis valleys. Arrive at Dades Valley and explore Dades Gorge. Walk among the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations, meet nomadic families living in caves, and discover unique desert flora and river ecosystems. Spend the night in a kasbah or riad, with dinner included. Day 4: Dades Gorge – Roses Valley – Skoura – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech Drive through Roses Valley, known for Damask roses, cooperatives, and traditional distillation. Explore Skoura Oasis, filled with palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Continue to the UNESCO site Ait Benhaddou, a masterpiece of earthen architecture. Cross the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, where your expedition ends.
