From Marrakech: 5-Day Djbel Saghro Trekking Adventure

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Roses Valley – Tagdilt Begin your adventure with an early departure from Marrakech, driving across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Continue toward Ouarzazate, then travel through the famous Roses Valley, known for its beautiful rose fields and ancient kasbahs. After discovering the landscapes of the Dades Valley and its thousand kasbahs, the journey continues south across a desert plateau toward the small mountain village of Tagdilt. Enjoy dinner and overnight with a local family in a traditional guesthouse at 1650 m altitude. Day 2: Tagdilt – Tizi N’Iferd Pass – Iferd Plateau (2250 m) After breakfast, meet the trekking team and watch the muleteers loading the pack mules, marking the beginning of the adventure. The trek starts by crossing a vast desert plateau, before gradually climbing toward Tizi N'Iferd at 2400 m. From the pass, enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Central High Atlas Mountains. The trail then descends toward the wide Iferd Plateau. Camp is set on this high plateau, often visited by semi-nomadic shepherds from the Ait Atta tribes during seasonal transhumance. Enjoy dinner and overnight camping under the tents at 2250 m. Day 3: Almou N’Ouarg – Kouaouch Summit (2600 m) – Igli (1700 m) Today begins with a beautiful ascent toward the summit of Kouaouch Summit at 2600 m, the highest point of the trek. The climb is steady but requires no technical equipment, making it accessible for most hikers. At the top, enjoy breathtaking views across the rugged volcanic landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Your trekking cook prepares a picnic lunch in nature, before beginning the descent via the valley of Tassegdilt. Arrive at the campsite near the village of Igli at 1700 m. Enjoy dinner and overnight camping under the stars. Day 4: Igli – Tadaout N’Tablah Plateau – Bab N’Ali Today’s trek crosses the spectacular Tadaout N'Tablah, located in the heart of a surreal rocky amphitheater surrounded by dramatic volcanic formations. The landscape here is extraordinary, with towering rock spires and sculpted sandstone formations dating back to the Precambrian geological era. The trail continues toward the famous Bab n'Ali, one of the most iconic landscapes of the Saghro massif. Two gigantic rock towers form a natural stone gate — the legendary “Bab” (door) of the mountains. Enjoy dinner and overnight camping near Bab N’Ali. Day 5: Bab N’Ali – Nkob – Draa Valley – Marrakech After breakfast, say goodbye to the muleteers and trekking team before meeting the driver. Transfer by road toward Nkob, a beautiful village known for its many kasbahs. Continue through the lush Draa Valley, passing the town of Agdez, before reaching Ouarzazate. After lunch near the High Atlas Mountains, cross again the Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
