From Marrakech: 6-Day Roses Valley Trekking Adventure

Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Roses Valley Depart from Marrakech in the morning, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Continue toward Ouarzazate and drive through the famous palm oasis of Skoura before reaching the fragrant Roses Valley. Arrive at your traditional kasbah guesthouse, and enjoy dinner and overnight with a local Amazigh family. Day 2: Roses Valley – Rose Fields – Hidden Kasbahs – Boutghrar (Trek Begins) After breakfast, begin your trekking adventure. Walk through rose plantations, small irrigation canals, farming terraces, and traditional Berber villages surrounded by almond and fig trees. During the rose harvest season (April–May), see local families collecting roses by hand early in the morning. Continue hiking through ancient kasbah ruins and hidden valleys rarely seen by travelers until reaching the beautiful village of Boutghrar. Enjoy dinner and overnight in a traditional guesthouse. Day 3: Boutghrar – Agouti Gorge – Alemdoun – Outdoor Camp Today’s trek follows the river through the dramatic landscapes of Agouti Gorge. Walk past old irrigation systems, cultivated terraces, and shepherd paths while discovering authentic Amazigh farming life. The trail leads to the peaceful mountain village of Alemdoun, surrounded by green fields and rocky mountains. In the afternoon, the trekking team prepares outdoor camping in nature. Enjoy mint tea and a traditional dinner cooked outside under the stars. Overnight camping. Day 4: Alemdoun – High Plateaus – Nomadic Encounters Today’s trek climbs gently toward high desert plateaus between the valleys. The scenery becomes wider and more open, offering spectacular views of the Atlas foothills and the landscapes leading toward M'Goun Massif. Along the way, meet nomadic shepherd families moving with goats and sheep between seasonal grazing areas. Enjoy a picnic lunch in nature before continuing the trek to your remote campsite. Dinner is prepared outdoors, and you’ll spend the night camping under the stars. Day 5: Nomadic Area – Monkeys Fingers – Dades Gorge After breakfast in camp, trek toward the spectacular rock formations of Monkey Fingers. These unique canyon landscapes are famous for their unusual rock shapes, narrow passages, and panoramic views of Dades Gorge. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch by the river before finishing the trek. Transfer to a traditional guesthouse in Dades Gorge. Dinner and overnight in guesthouse. Day 6: Dades Gorge – Skoura Oasis – Marrakech After breakfast, drive through the beautiful palm groves of Skoura Oasis before crossing the High Atlas Mountains again via Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Arrive back in Marrakech in the afternoon.
