From Marrakech: 6-Day Sahara Desert Adventure to Erg Chigaga

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – M’hamid: Start our desert tour by our driver picking you up at 07:30 am from your accommodation or point that you choose. Then we drive through the high Atlas mountains (2260m) pass, enjoying the scenic road, as we reach the head of the Draa Valley at Agdez. And we will pass through many villages and gardens so that you can get a better idea of the way of life along the oasis. Next, crossing Zagora to arrive in M’hamid, check in for dinner and rest in your charming riad, in M'hamid. Day 2: Trekking From M’hamid – Erg Bartam : Our Trek Morocco Desert Tour starts in the morning from M’hamid, the last village before the Sahara, after meeting your trekking team. We start our trek to explore and discover the beautiful parts of the Sahara. After about 2 hours walking with the camels, we enjoy a lunch break under a shadowy tree, then continue our tour from Marrakech for 1 to 2 hours to Erg Bartam, where we will set up our mobile camp. have dinner around the fire and enjoy the relaxation and stargazing, Later, spending the night in the tents under the sky full of stars. Day 3: Erg Bertam – Erg Chigaga – 2 hours off-road: Wake up in the morning to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, after breakfast, we carry on our trek toward a different world of relaxation. Lunch will be enjoyed in the shadow of Tamarisk tree. After lunch, the driver comes by the jeep to drive you on another term of adventure to the big dunes of Erg Chigaga, where the highest dunes of Moroccan Sahara desert are reaching 300 meters of height . there you can enjoy watching the special sunset with a lot of dunes shaping perfect landscapes. spend the night in a tent. Dinner and breakfast in the desert camp in Erg Chigaga. Day 4: Erg Chigaga, Visit to the oasis and discover nomadic lifestyle: Wake up early if you would like to witness the sunrise, and enjoy your breakfast in the camp. followed by a visit to the oasis to discover more about it. and we go to a family of nomads to have a cup of tea with them explore the nomadic and Bedouin lifestyle in the Sahara, lunch will be enjoyed either in the oasis or picnic near the nomads. Afterwards, we go back to Chigaga to enjoy sandboarding, live singing Berber and Sahara music around the campfire after dinner in the desert camp. Day 5: Erg Chigaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate: After breakfast, we take another 90km of off-road through the dry Iriki Lake then to Foum Zguid, where rejoin paved roads. Pass from Taznakht, to reach Ouarzazate in the afternoon, dinner and night at the hotel in Ouarzazate. Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Telouet – Marrakech: Start the day by having breakfast in the hotel, we leave for Ait Benhaddou to visit it, then Telouet Kasbah which belonged to the Lords of the Atlas in the past. We continue driving through the Atlas mountains, which offers spectacular views of mountains, valleys, and colorful Berber villages, on the end arriving at Marrakech in the evening.
