From Marrakech to Agadir : 4-Day Sahara Desert Tour

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades Valley Your 4-day Sahara desert tour begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, or the nearest meeting point. Travel east through traditional Berber villages toward the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, enjoy scenic stops for photos, short walks, and coffee breaks. Cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) before arriving at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages. Explore the kasbah with a local guide (guide fee not included) and discover filming locations of famous movies such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Kingdom of Heaven. After lunch, continue your journey through Ouarzazate, Kelaat M’Gouna, and the scenic Valley of Roses, arriving in Dades Valley or Tinghir in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at a comfortable hotel or riad. Day 2: Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes) After breakfast, depart toward the Sahara Desert. Drive through a series of authentic Berber towns, including Tinghir, Tinjdad, and Erfoud. Stop to explore the impressive Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls create a dramatic natural landscape. Enjoy a walk through the gorge accompanied by a local guide. Continue toward Merzouga, stopping along the way to visit a traditional cooperative to learn about local crafts and products. In the afternoon, arrive at the edge of the Sahara, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise from the desert. Prepare for your desert experience by packing a small overnight bag, then enjoy a sunset camel trek across the dunes to your desert camp. Upon arrival, walk to the top of the dunes to admire the sunset. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner and Berber drum music around the campfire. Overnight in comfortable nomad-style tents beneath the stars. Day 3: Merzouga – Tinghir – Monkey Fingers Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga and begin your journey back toward the Dades Valley. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided hike to the famous Monkey Fingers rock, a unique natural site in the Dades Valley. Walk through narrow canyons and sculpted rock formations, where green trails and arid mountains create stunning contrasts. The hike lasts approximately 1–2 hours and is suitable for all levels. Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate -Agadir After breakfast, depart from the Dades Valley and travel toward Ouarzazate For groups of less than 5 people, the transfer from Ouarzazate to Agadir will be arranged by taxi, ensuring a comfortable, private journey with flexible timing.
