Marrakech Traditional Moroccan Hammam & Berber Breakfast

Discover the real Moroccan hammam tradition in a peaceful Berber setting near Tahannaout. This 4-hour cultural experience is not a luxury spa or massage treatment, but an authentic local ritual of cleansing, purification, and connection. Your experience begins with pick-up from your hotel, followed by a visit to a local Berber women’s cooperative. There, you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan breakfast prepared with local products. The women of the cooperative will explain how argan oil is produced, from the argan nut to the final natural oil, and introduce you to the natural beauty products used in Moroccan hammam rituals. After breakfast, you will continue to a traditional local hammam. A local host will explain the steps of the Moroccan hammam, from the application of black soap to the steam, exfoliation with the kessa glove, cleansing, ghassoul clay mask, henna, and foot care. Guests will receive a small traditional hammam kit including a kessa exfoliating glove, Moroccan black soap, ghassoul clay, natural henna, a pumice stone for the feet, and a small toiletry pouch. During the experience, you will also learn about the cultural and sacred importance of the hammam in Moroccan and Berber tradition. For generations, the hammam has been more than a place to wash the body. It is a ritual of purification, relaxation, family connection, and preparation for important life events such as weddings, celebrations, and special gatherings. At the end of the hammam, you will have time to relax before being transferred back to your hotel.
