3-Day Sahara Desert Adventure From Ouarzazate to Erg Chigaga

Day 1: Ouarzazate To M'hamid Depart at 9:00 AM from Ouarzazate and head to Erg Chigaga, known for the highest dunes in North Africa. On the way, see the Oasis of Draa. Continue the tour passing through the little Berber towns of Agdez. After visiting Kasbah Tamnougalt, continue your way enjoying the green oasis of Draa, and Zagora. Have lunch on the road, then visit the Koranic library, pottery, and the underground Kasbah in Tamegroute. From Tamegroute, continue toward M’hamid El Ghizlane, where you will spend the night in a desert camp. Day 2: M'hamid To Erg Chigaga After enjoying your breakfast in the camp, start your adventure. Have about 2 hours off-road until Erg Chigaga to discover the different landscapes of Hamada, Erg, Reg, and the Sacred Oasis. Have lunch in the Sahara desert, and then journey to Erg Chigaga’s enormous dunes in Morocco before sunset where you can try sandboarding. Get together around the fire after dinner under a starry night sky. Sleep in a tent in the Sahara Desert at Erg Chigaga. Day 3: Erg Chigaga Towards Ouarzazate via Foum Zguid Get up early in the morning to see the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast, and then continue on another 3-hour off-road adventure toward the Sahara desert of Morocco with varying scenery, Iriki Lake, the mountains, and fossils. The first town you’ll pass through is Foum Zguid. From here, drive along paved roads via the village of Taznakht, famous for its Berber carpets and rugs. Afterward, you can continue on the road to enjoy the mountainous and spectacular Berber villages. Arrive in the evening in Ouarzazate to end your experience of the Sahara desert trip.
