3 Days Atlas Mountains Trek from Imlil to Setti Fatma

Day 1: Imlil – Tizi'n'Tamaterte – Wanskra – Tachdirth Begin your trek from Imlil with a 1-hour and 45-minute hike upwards in an eastern direction towards Tizi’n’Tamaterte (2,279 meters). Pass through barley fields and orchards of cherry, walnut, and apple trees to Tamaterte village. After passing the village, follow the pathway leading up through the forest of pine and juniper trees. In Tizi, stop to enjoy the beautiful Imlil and Imnane Valleys with Berber villages stretching around you, precariously tucked onto the slopes. Continue for another hour until you reach Wanskra and Amagdoul villages. Here on the plateau, have a field picnic. In the afternoon, spend some time hiking along mule trails up through the valley to an ancient Berber village. Spend the night in a gite d’etape in Tachdirth (2,291 meters). Day 2: Tachdirth – Iaabbassen – Timichi Start with an early breakfast to gain strength for the following 6-hour hike in the southeast direction to Timichi village (1,850 meters). For the next 2.5 hours, continue slowly up to Tizi’n’Tachdirth (3,200 meters). Be awarded with an astonishing panoramic view of Bouignouane (3,882 meters) and Jbel Aksoual (3,842 meters) on one side and Angour on the other. Enjoy the beautiful nature of Verdant Valley stretching out below you. For the next 2 hours, follow a rocky pass in the northeast direction until you reach Iaabbassen village (2,030 meters). Here, next to the spring just outside the village, enjoy a field picnic. In the afternoon, have a 2-hour hike in the northeast direction down the valley to the Timichi village, an ancient multi-layered terraced village surrounded by old nut trees. Have dinner and spend the night in a traditional Berber family house. Day 3: Timichi – Tiwerdiwe – Tadrarte – Agadir N’Ait Boulmane – Setti Fadma In the morning, have breakfast and then start a 4-5 hour hike through beautiful corn fields and walnut groves down the valley in an eastward direction. Pass through Tadrart and Anfli villages and arrive at the picturesque Ourika Valley. Have a picnic close to the famous Setti Fadma village. After another half-hour hike, reach your vehicle that will bring you back.
