Marrakech: Atlas Mountains Day Hike to Talamrout Summit

Leave behind the busy streets of Marrakech and head into the peaceful High Atlas Mountains for a challenging and unforgettable day hike. After a morning pickup from your hotel or riad, enjoy a scenic drive to Imlil (1,740m), the gateway to treks in the Toubkal National Park. Here, meet your experienced local guide and begin your ascent. Start your hike through traditional Berber villages and pine forests, gradually climbing towards the Tizi n’Tamaterte Pass (2,279m). From the pass, take in stunning views over the Imlil and Tachedirt valleys. Continue along a scenic ridge trail toward the first summit, then push further to reach the highest point—Talamrout (Assaoul) Summit (2,700m). From the top, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and, in winter months, snow-covered peaks. Take a well-deserved break and enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch at around 2,500m, surrounded by incredible mountain scenery. After soaking in the views, descend back toward Imlil and relax on the return drive to Marrakech.
