Marrakech to Imlil Atlas: Evening Adventure & Sunset Dinner

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Leave the city behind and head south toward the towering Atlas peaks. Make a brief scenic stop at the Moulay Brahim Gorges to admire the dramatic limestone cliffs and the river below. This is a perfect spot for early photos of the rugged landscape. Arrive in Imlil and meet your certified local Berber guide in the village center. As the road ends here, the mountain experience begins. Embark on a gentle 30–45 minute walk through ancient walnut groves and cherry orchards. Pass through authentic stone-built hamlets as the afternoon light softens. If you prefer not to hike, a traditional mule ride can be arranged to carry you up to the dining location. Arrive at a charming mountain lodge and be welcomed with traditional mint tea and local almonds on a panoramic terrace. Watch the "Golden Hour" as the sun dips behind Mount Toubkal, turning the peaks shades of pink and purple. Enjoy dinner either on the terrace under the stars (weather permitting) or inside a cozy, candlelit Berber lounge with a fireplace. Savor a hearty Harira soup or a selection of fresh Moroccan salads and crispy briouates. For the main course, enjoy the signature Imlil Tagine (slow-cooked lamb with prunes, lemon chicken, or organic valley vegetables) prepared in traditional earthenware.
